This move is in reponse to concerns of the public, especially of the marginalized families or individuals who could not avail of the financial aid from the government due to the lack of valid proof of identity.
“While waiting for your physical ID, nag issue na ta karun ug printable version. Kaning printable version usa ka digital version in printed form nga i-print namo sa PSA (While waiting for your physical ID, we now issue the printable version. This printable version is a digital version in printed form that we print at PSA)," said SPSO PhilSys focal person John Claude Dag-uman during the Kapihan sa PIA held by the Philippine Information Agency here.
“Gi prioritize sa atong government ang mga low-income families. So katong mga na identify nato nga mga low-income ang printahan una sa National ID (Our government prioritizes the low-income families. Those identified as low-income will have their National ID printed first)," Dag-uman added.
This aims to give indigent families access to financial services from the government as well as allow them opportunities for hassle-free business transactions.
Dag-uman urged the Siquijodnons who have not yet signed up for their National ID to visit their registration desk at the first floor of the Business and Convention Center Building. (RAC/NPO/PIA Siquijor)
