CEBU CITY, Cebu Dec. 5 (PIA) -- Department of Justice (DOJ) Asst. Secretary Atty. Jose Dominic Clavano led the awarding ceremony as the DOJ-7 honored the efforts and services of prosecutors in the region during the awards night held at DepEd7 Ecotech, Lahug, Cebu City on Dec. 2.

Clavano, on behalf of DOJ Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla, thanked the prosecutors for their efforts and initiatives in helping promote peace and order in the country.

"This event is a unique opportunity to thank the gatekeepers of criminal justice. For without you and your initiatives, there cannot be a prosecution; without you, peace and order in this country are impossible," said Clavano.

"We look to you, fellow prosecutors, the gatekeepers of criminal justice, to help create a sustainable, stable, and just environment for our justice system, and we at the Department of Justice are behind each and every one of you, offering our full support every step of the way," added the DOJ official.

Aside from the awarding ceremony, the DOJ also held a seminar titled "Padayun sa Kaayuhan, Kauswagan, Kalambuan, at Kaluwasan para sa mga Kawani sa DOJ," for prosecutors and other DOJ personnel. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)
