TRIB Youth Concert highlights AFP’s 87th Founding Anniversary

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) --The Armed Forces of the Philippines through Media and Civil Affairs Group of Civil Relations Service hosts the first ever Talented, Responsible, Innovative and Brave Youth (TRIB Youth) Concert to the Peacemakers at AFP Grandstand, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on December 9, 2022.

The activity is in line with the celebration of the 87th Founding Anniversary of AFP, which aims to showcase the talents of various youth organizations all over the country that are dedicated to all soldiers performing various tasks and roles in maintaining the peace for the country.

"Among the activities we have been doing is capacitating the youth to be active partners in our pursuit of genuine and lasting peace as we continue to envision an inclusive and resilient society driven by a globally competitive knowledge economy," MCAG Commander Major Cenon C Pancito III PA said.

The participating performers include are Teatro Benalembang Dance Company, Youth for Peace-National Capital Region, YOU Palawan, Teatro Benalembang Dance Company, PNPA Glee Club and Cadet Combo, Muslim Cultural Dance Group, PMA Glee Club and Cadet Combo, YFPDM Davao, Teatro Benalembang Dance Company at TAYLP.

As such, along with soldier- attendees from the Philippine Airforce, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Army, the ambulatory battle casualties presently confined at the AFP Medical Center will be invited to grace the occasion.

The concert will start from 6:00- 9:00 PM wherein different musical bands from other AFP units will also render songs and music as early as 4:00 PM as part of the pre-cultural presentation.

"Along with its mandate to manage the DWDD 1134khz AM AFP Radio and the TV and Digital Media, we also engage with different sectors for a collaborative effort in nation-building particularly to the youth in order to harness their potential as catalysts for growth and agents of development," Maj Pancito added.
