DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Pangasinan has reminded all service and repair shop enterprises in the province to renew their accreditation for 2023.
Provincial Director Natalia Dalaten said the filing of applications of accreditation without penalty for service and repair shops holding certificates of accreditation that expired on Dec. 31, 2022 will end on Jan. 31.
Dalaten said service and repair shops who will not renew their accreditation are not allowed to continue to operate or render services.

The accreditation of service and repair shops is part of DTI's program to provide consumers a protection that could grant them a service warranty of at least 90 days.
Dalaten reminded all repair and service shops to apply and renew their accreditation with DTI to avoid possible administrative fines.
Likewise, she said service and repair shop may visit DTI Pangasinan office located at the 2nd floor of Star Building in Arellano St. Dagupan City or call at telephone number (075) 636-3975 or send an email at R01pangasinan@dti.gov.ph for further inquiries and assistance on accreditation processes.
