PBBM ensures delivery of support to affected passengers in NAIA

QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., a day after his fruitful visit to People’s Republic of China, inspects the present situation at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for domestic and international flights on Friday, January 6, 2023.

He ensures that all affected domestic and foreign passengers and travelers in NAIA were assisted and ‘not left to their own devices.”  He shared with the public that food and malasakit packs were distributed while making sure to resume normal flight operations.

The chief executive extends sincerest apologies to everyone affected by the technical issues at the Air Navigation Facilities of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) that put on hold all flights to and from Manila at the start of the year.

“I’m sorry. We, of course, we have to apologize to our kababayans who, especially those who came from abroad dahil limitado ang kanilang bakasyon. Nawala yung dalawa, tatlong araw eh. Alam naman natin, very valuable sa Pilipino ‘yung Christmas holiday. Kaya’t kami’y naghihingi --- humihingi ng inyong paumanhin,” the President said.

Meanwhile, the President also shared that they already procured two (2) units of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) as backup power supplies to avoid the same problem in the system’s electrical network that can affect the Air Traffic Control.

He assured everyone that his administration will exert every effort to ensure that this fiasco will not happen again. (KSAA – PIA CPSD)
