KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO (PIA) -- Dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) can now send their application for two of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration’s (OWWA) baccalaureate scholarship programs.
Marilou Sumalinog, OWWA 12 regional director said applications for Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) for school year 2023-2024 are now open.
“We highly encourage OFW dependents who are either incoming freshmen or currently enrolled in college to submit their documents for EDSP and CMWSP,” Sumalinog added.
Interested applicants are advised to apply online thru this link: https://scholarship.owwa.gov. ph/.
The EDSP and CMWSP are offered to qualified dependents of active OWWA-member OFWs desiring to enroll in any four- or five-year course in any college or university.
Under the EDSP, the qualified scholars are given an allowance of P60,000 per school year, while scholars under OFWDSP receive an annual allotment of P20,000 for tuition fees and other academic related-expenses.
The deadline for application is on January 31, 2023.
The pen and paper examination is scheduled on March 11 and 12, 2023.
