QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The participation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland will greatly help the economic growth of the Philippines.
According to Filipino-Canadian economist Dr. Michael Batu, the Philippines joining the WEF is a good opportunity to further strengthen our relationship with other countries and promote local investments that can be made in our country.
"The beauty of the World Economic Forum is that in this event, the global decision makers are in the same location - which means that when you are there, you have access and you can talk to them - that can be done in what we call workshops, they also have country strategy dialogues," said Batu.
Batu added that the Philippines can use the WEF as a bridge to discuss various issues with political and business leaders that may result in more foreign investment in the Philippines.
"Our President can showcase the performance of our economy, and of course there are investment opportunities where our President will encourage foreign investments into our country," said Batu. (PIA-NCR)
