QUEZON CITY, (PIA) - To promote active transportation in Metro Manila and as part of its 25th Cityhood Anniversary, the City of Parañaque will launch “Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan” on February 11, Saturday at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
The “Padyak Parañaque sa Kalusugan” is a bike marathon will start at 5:00 in the morning with two synchronous routes. The first route with over 6 kilometers is open for 18 years old and above, while route 2 with over 2 kilometers is open for 6 to 17 years old.

The program aims to emphasize the importance of cycling and the different kinds of active transportation and its effects to health. Active transportation is described as an all human-powered forms of travel like walking, cycling, in-line skating, canoeing and skateboarding.
Interested participants must bring their own bicycle, wear safety gear and register at bit.ly/PadyakPQUE. Registrants will also have the chance of winning raffle prizes.
