Bohol gets P100M financial aid from OP

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Feb. 3 (PIA) -- The provincial government of Bohol received P100M from the Office of the President (OP) as financial aid for four towns in the province that were badly affected by Typhoon Odette.

The budget came from the OP's Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF).

On Feb. 2, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed with the OP, which is a prelude to the downloading of the funds.

It was attended by Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Vice Gov. Victor Balite, Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte, and Mayors Janet Garcia of Talibon town, Fernando Estavilla of Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, Raymond Jala of Loboc, and Constantino Reyes of Ubay town.

Aumentado said P25M in financial cash assistance will be given to each of the towns of Loboc, Talibon, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, and Ubay.

The financial grant will be used to provide housing projects in Loboc and Talibon and evacuation centers in Pres. Carlos P. Garcia and Ubay.

Aumentado thanked the OP for the financial assistance given to the province of Bohol.

"Mapasalamaton kita sa ayuda gikan sa kagamhanang nasyonal, sa suporta sa Provincial Shelter Cluster Core Team ug sa tanang nagbudlay ani kay tungod sa pagtinabangay nahimong reyalidad ang atong gihandum nga tabang. Ang kanhi administrasyon kabahin usab niini (We are grateful for the help from the national government, the support from the Provincial Shelter Cluster Core Team and all those who are working hard because of the cooperation that our desired help has become a reality. The former administration is also part of this)," Aumentado said.

The province of Bohol was among the areas severely affected by Typhoon Odette that hit parts of Mindanao and the Visayas country in December 2021. (ECB/PIA7 Bohol)
