PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) with partner agencies recently received the “Tapat na Lingkod Award” from the Inter-agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT) for helping shape the direction and future of road users in the Metro Manila.
“An active supporter of the I-ACT in fulfilling its mandate especially on the immediate repair of roads along EDSA, EDSA Busways, and in other areas of Metro Manila,” I-ACT described the DPWH’s contribution to road public safety.
DPWH NCR Regional Director Loreta M. Malaluan received the award from I-ACT President Charlie Apolinario Del Rosario, and Department of Transportation (DOTr) Undersecretary Mark Steven C. Pastor, on behalf of DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan who have extended his gratitude to the I-ACT and DOTr for recognizing the efforts of the agency on public road safety.
The I-ACT who serves as primary road service and safety provider, and forefront in traffic management has been a long-time partner of the Department, working hand in hand with DOTr in the advancement of infrastructure projects for motorists and commuters.
The agency shared the award to the nine District Engineering Offices of the DPWH NCR who have worked consistently in maintaining the national roads in the metropolis. (DPWH/PIA-NCR)
