Outstanding personnel in uniform in San Juan to receive incentive

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The San Juan City Council has passed an ordinance granting incentives to the men and women in uniform.

Personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire (BFP), and the Bureau of Jail and Management Penology (BJMP) will receive incentives. The ordinance entitled “An Ordinance granting incentive to uniformed personnel from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology detailed to the City of San Juan who has exemplified service excellence in promoting the national interest while supporting government programs of the Local Government of the City of San Juan and appropriating funds for the purpose thereof.”

According to the city government, section two (2) of the said ordinance states that the incentive will be given to all the personnel from PNP, BFP and BJMP, regardless of the status of employment, and detailed to San Juan City Government for at least six months, who have been recognized by their respective agencies for exemplary service.

The selection of the grantees will be through nomination by the respective agencies accompanied by a letter of recommendation based on the following criteria:

• Has demonstrated P.I.E.S (Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence and Spirituality

• Ability to work with others

• Overall contribution to the upliftment of the general welfare of the people of San Juan

A cash reward of P50,000 will be given per agency for the following categories:

PNP-San Juan:

- Best Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) — P25,000

- Best Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) — P15,000

- Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) — P10,000

BFP-San Juan:

- Best in Operations — P25,000

- Best in Administration— P25,000

BJMP-San Juan:

- Best Male Dormitory Jail Officer — P25,000

- Best Female Dormitory Jail Officer — P25,000

The selection process and awarding of the cash incentives will be done annually. Awardees will also be recognized during the ‘Gabi ng Parangal,’ the annual celebration of Araw ng San Juan.
