KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato (PIA) -- The Department of Education - Soccsksargen is warning the public against persons who claim to be connected with the DepEd and act as middlemen to solicit money or school and office supplies from business owners.

In a statement released by DepEd Soccsksargen on Friday, February 17, DepEd 12 regional director Carlito Rocafort issued the warning against this modus operandi.

“DepEd Soccsksargen regional director Carlito Rocafort strongly denies and denounces such false claims and activities and has already coordinated with proper authorities to immediately investigate and determine those involved in this scam,” Rocafort said in a statement.

DepEd 12 urged suppliers and the public to exercise prudence when dealing with individuals or groups claiming to represent the agency.

Rocafort also appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities concerning the DepEd to authorities.
