NAPC’s interventions in receding poverty in the country

QUEZON CITY (PIA) — The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) convened with its agency members and conducted the Technical Action Officer - Technical Working Group (NAPC TAO-TWG) Meeting of the Government Sector at the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Building in Quezon City last March 3, 2023.

Dr. Lope B. Santos III, NAPC’s Lead Convenor and Secretary, facilitated the meeting proper covering the discussions on tentative activities and schedules for the upcoming (1) NAPC’s 25th Year Anniversary Celebration in June; (2) the formulation of the National Anti-poverty Action Agenda (N3A) 2023-2028; and, (3) the development of the National Poverty Reduction Plan (NPRP) 2023-2028.

The program's objective aligns with the Philippine Development Plan 2023 -2028 in combatting and accelerating poverty reduction in the country from 18.1% (2021) to 8-9% (2028) with the help of its agency and sectoral members.

As part of the Explain Explain Explain campaign program, Deputy Director-General Karl Louie B. Fajardo of PIA, in coordination with other government media, will support the NAPC through communication support assistance such as the development of various information materials to highlight the government’s various interventions in fighting poverty.
