QUEZON, (PIA) --The Philippine National Police (PNP) participated in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill yesterday, March 9, 2023. 

All PNP units at the PNP National Headquarters, Camp Crame, took part in the activity to ensure the safety and preparedness of both PNP personnel and the community in the event of a real earthquake.

The drill started at exactly 2:00 PM, with the sound of an alarm signaling the start of the exercise. 

PNP personnel, along with other agencies and organizations, demonstrated the proper way to respond to an earthquake by conducting a drop, cover, and hold drill.

The PNP enjoins the public to stay informed and follow safety guidelines in case of an actual earthquake.

The government's initiative to conduct nationwide earthquake drills every quarter aims to encourage disaster preparedness and resilience among Filipinos. (pnp/pia-ncr)
