QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., urged the Filipino-Chinese businesses to continue supporting the government’s development efforts as his administration creates enabling business environment.

"I only ask that you continue to do what you do best: to remain industrious, innovative, and compassionate in improving the lives of our people through your business initiatives," Pres. Marcos said.

The President was the guest of honor and speaker at the 33rd Biennial Convention of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City held Thursday, March 23.

He talks about government efforts to improve the ease of doing business in the Philippines, adding that part of the efforts is the issuance of an Executive Order constituting green lanes for strategic investments.

"The green lanes are to assign a specific desk in every department so that they will attend to the documentary, legal, bureaucratic requirements of any potential investor, without themselves having to go to every office to gain the signatures of however many are necessary for the project that they are doing," he said.

Marcos said.

The President said it is his duty to create an enabling environment for businesses and make the Philippines a preferred investment destination for everyone.

In return, I only ask that you continue to do what you do best: to remain industrious, innovative, and compassionate in improving the lives of our people through your business initiatives,” the President said.

Established in 1954, the FFCCCII is the largest organization of Filipino-Chinese businesses with more than 170-member organizations. (PIA-NCR)
