FDCP Centers offers free screening of “Babae sa Pelikula”

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – In line with the celebration of the International Women’s Month, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will screen two films that highlight the significance of films in advocating for women’s rights, particularly in opposing gender-based violence.

The FDCP will screen the following films on Friday, March 24, in Cinematheque Centres all over the country:

1:00 PM — “VERDICT” directed by Raymund Ribay Gutierrez

3:30 PM — “WORKING WOMAN” directed by Michal Aviad

The screenings will be followed by a Film Talk which will tackle the challenges women in our society face and how films serve as a medium in shedding light on these issues.

“Babae sa Pelikula” is presented by the FDCP in partnership with the Embassy of Israel in the Philippines and the Philippine Commission on Women and is supported by Center Stage Productions. (fdcp/pia-ncr)
