QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) latest Go Lokal! Store x Manila Canvas was launched at the Chamber 8, Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila on Monday, March 27.
Present during the launch are DTI-Regional Operations Group (ROG) Undersecretary Blessila Lantoya; Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Ferdinand Jumapao; Chief of DOT-NCR Tourism Development Division, Ms. Catherine Agustin; Atty. Joan Padilla, Administrator at Intramuros Administration; DTI-Trade Promotions Group (TPG) Assistant Secretary Glenn Peñaranda; DTI-ROG Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino; DTI-Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) Director Marievic Bonoan, DTI- Export Marketing Bureau Assistant Director Jhino Ilano; Ms. Rocelyn De Vera-Queja and Mr. Vince Queja, Owner of Cactus and Canvas; and Mr. Edbert Golangco, Senior Regional Business Head for Maya Business NCR.
The Go Lokal! Store x Manila Canvas is a haven for those who love to shop local as it houses a curated selection of locally-made products from 12 talented MSMEs, all proudly showcasing their passion and expertise.
Shoppers can also enjoy the on-site café which serves local snacks and beverages as they shop.
The store is open from 10 am to 8 pm. Visitors can shop while exploring the walled-city of Intramuros.
The said grand launched coincides DTI’s Bagsakan sa Intramuros which features unique Filipino products from 11 regions across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for foreign and local tourists to enjoy.
Available are unique products in Bagsakan are: regional delicacies; premium Philippine wines and healthy beverages; Filipino snacks, cookies and pastries; traditional and modern apparel using indigenous textiles; fashion accessories; handicrafts and wooden items; home decors, gifts, and souvenir items; and to a full range of personal care and wellness products.
