VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - The office here of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is urging the public to pay their annual income taxes ahead of the April 17, 2023 deadline.

According to Officer-in-Charge Maria Cristina B. Yuson of Revenue District Office 69, authorized agent banks have extended their banking hours to accommodate tax payments and are open on two Saturdays, from March 25 to April 1, 2023 for BIR transactions.

She also clarified that per Revenue Memorandum Circular  32-2023, taxpayers may file their 2022 Income Tax Return and pay the taxes due thereon in any authorized agent bank or BIR revenue collection officer nearest them without incurring penalties for wrong venue filing.

Meanwhile, RDO 69 conducted on March 6, 2023 an awarding ceremony in line with the BIR’s Enhanced Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence.

Awards were given to deserving RDO 69 employees who have shown exemplary and commendable work performance in 2022.
