TANAY, Rizal (PIA)—Seven new members, including the Philippine Information Agency CALABARZON, were sworn-in as members of the Philippine Army 2nd Infantry Division’s Multi-Sectoral Advisory Board (MSAB) on March 31 at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal.
Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong, 2ID Commander, administered the oaths of PIA CALABARZON Regional Director Ma. Cristina C. Arzadon, Morong Municipal Trial Court Judge Josefina Maria Torres, Pililla Academy Principal Marie Tessie Vicente, Nation’s Hope PH President Shekinah Sanz, Barangay Cayabu Chair Antonio Bolaños, Engr. Elmer Espiritu and, Tanay Vice Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco at the board’s 2023 1st Quarter Meeting.
The 2ID’s area of responsibility includes CALABARZON and MIMAROPA regions except Palawan Province.
The MSAB serves as a means to pursue genuine reforms based on good governance with valuable inputs from the civilian sector specifically in the Southern Tagalog Region.
“We need an adviser, we need an advocate and, we need an accountability partner,” says 2ID LTC Kim Evangelista.
“On behalf of the command, maraming salamat sa mga dating miyembro na hindi nagsasawang magbigay ng suporta at sa mga bagong miyembro para sa pagtanggap sa aming imbitasyon,” says Evangelista.
Respective MSAB Committees namely the Governance, Resource Generation, Assessment and Review and, Strategic Communications also delivered respective reports on plans and projects.
Director Arzadon said that PIA CALABARZON looks forward in taking on the role in the committee and hoped the agency would contribute in communicating the division’s pursuit of its army transformation roadmap.
Director Arzadon adds that the agency can help expand the Strategic Communications Committee’s reach through its online and broadcast platforms in disseminating timely, relevant and accurate information. (GG/PIA-Rizal)
