QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Various government agencies, civil society organizations (CSOs), and other stakeholders in the National Capital Region (NCR) signed the Regional Population Executive Committee (RPEC) Resolution on May 5 at BSA Twin Towers in Mandaluyong City.
The RPEC Resolution will formalize all agencies' and organizations' roles and commitments to include population-related programs and activities in their plans.

Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) NCR Acting Regional Director Jackylin D. Robel, in her welcoming remarks, acknowledged the collaboration with regional agencies to implement population programs and activities that will improve the quality of life of families and individuals in Metro Manila.
A Regional Development Plan of Action 2023-2028 was prepared to achieve the Philippine Population and Development Program’s (PPDP) objectives, outlining related strategies and actions to cooperate and collaborate with different stakeholders in NCR.
According to the Philippine Population and Development Strategic Directional Plan 2023-2028, population challenges that need to be addressed through the PPDP programs are the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP), Adolescent Health and Development (AHD), and Population and Development (PopDev) Integration.
POPCOM NCR will serve as the agency in charge of overseeing and assessing the region's different population and development-related plans and initiatives, which will be carried out in collaboration with several NCR stakeholders. (PIA-NCR)
