MANILA, (PIA) -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday lauded the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for digitalizing its services and encouraged other agencies to do the same.
"Your efforts in digitalization and business process efficiency are all noteworthy as they are well aligned with the administration's policy and priority of providing efficient and accessible services to the public as contained in the Philippine Development Plan," Pres. Marcos said during the 86th anniversary of the GSIS in Pasay City.
"Given the demands of these complex operations, it is highly crucial that digital transformation be fully embraced especially in this era of rapid technological advancements," he added.
Digitalizing government services is among the top priorities of the Marcos administration, according to Malacanang.
This is to ensure the delivery of efficient government services to the people and fight corruption by eradicating all forms of red tape.
"We must ensure efficient organization, accuracy, reliability, and security of data using the state-of-the-art digital tools that are available," the Chief Executive further said.
Meanwhile, Pres. Marcos also led the launch of the enhanced GSIS Touch mobile application.
"The enhanced GSIS Touch mobile applicationis a very good example. It allows members to apply for loans, view records, track premium payments, and check account status, among others," he said. (PIA-NCR)
