MANILA, (PIA) -- City residents, local government officials, and various stakeholders of Malabon gathered at St. James St., Goldendale Subdivision, Barangay Tinajeros, for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Malabon Ahon Housing Project.
“My administration is committed to develop housing projects that will support families who are struggling,” Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval said.
“Families who were homeless and have found life challenging will now be part of a community. This will be a place where they can find work. it will be a safe home where their children can grow and envision a better life for themselves,” she added.
Barely a year in office as local chief executive, Mayor Jeannie led the celebration to kick off the construction of two (2) mid-rise, 5-storey buildings that will have 122 units of custom designed socialized housing.
The housing community will be a place where families can have a safe, stable, and affordable place they can now call home, she said.
Mayor Jeannie’s administration aims to resolve the housing gap in Malabon and improve the living conditions of every Filipino family.
Each studio-type residence unit will be a 24 square-meter unit with kitchen, bathroom and laundry area, lined-up along spacious corridors and staircases.
The Malabon Ahon Housing Project stands at a 2,300 square meter lot and is only 700 meters away from Gov. Pascual Avenue providing easy access to schools and health facilities. Critical services needed for families to stabilize their lives and thrive in the community. (PIA-NCR)
