TESDA Cavite to launch 2023 World Café of Opportunities

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, CAVITE (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Cavite Provincial Office prepares for the conduct of a job facilitation activity dubbed “World Café of Opportunities (WCO) this August 22 to further operationalize the agency’s Job Linkaging and Networking Services (JoLINS).

The program is in support of the TESDA’s three-pronged direction toward poverty alleviation as embodied in the JoLINS which was institutionalized with the objective of helping TVET graduates/alumni in landing a job.

The activity will take place at SM City Dasmariñas, in collaboration with the Local Government of Dasmariñas City, the Provincial Government of Cavite, the Provincial Public Employment Service (PPESO) of Cavite, and the Association of Cavite Training Institutions and Vocational Educators, Inc. (ACTIVE).

TESDA Provincial Director Rosalinda B. Talavera explained that the World Café of Opportunities (WCO) through the Job Linkaging and Networking Services (JoLiNS) of TESDA was institutionalized through TESDA Circular No. 38 series of 2016, with the sole purpose of increasing the latter’s employment opportunities and served as a venue to exhibit various products of Dasmariñas through a trade fair.

Ms. Talavera added that with the support of the invited industry employers from various sectors such as construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, and national government agencies like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Social Security System (SSS), PAG-BIG, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the activity will act as a conduit between job seekers and employers.
