17,000 beneficiaries will benefit from the first Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in PH

NAVAL, Biliran (PIA) -- Some 17,000 beneficiaries will be able to avail the first and biggest delivery of government services close to the Filipino people dubbed Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, on August 26-27, 2023 at BiPSU Main Campus, Naval, Biliran.

Some 33 national government agencies will be joining forces in one venue to provide their respective offices’ services such as the DSWD, DOH, DA, DTI, DFA, LTO, and many other national government agencies.

According to Atty. Shawn Capucion of the Office of the House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, one of the members of the Bagong Pilipinas national secretariat who attended the final coordination meeting on August 23, Bagong Pilipinas is a new branding campaign of the Marcos administration in terms of how the national government will provide services to the Filipino people.

Atty. Shawn Capucion, one of the members of the Bagong Pilipinas national secretariat who attended the final coordination meeting on August 23 at Fragoch Tourist Inn Conference Room, emphasized to the heads of national government agencies the rationale and importance of the first Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in the country to be held at BiPSU Main Campus, Naval, Billran on August 26-27, 2023. “This administration aims to bring government services close to the people, instead of people going to offices to avail of government services,” Capucion emphasized.

Capucion, who praised the events team in the province despite the two weeks time frame for preparations, added that at first, only 12 to 15 national government agencies have expressed interest in taking part in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, but the number of government agencies which will be participating has since increased including the Office of the Vice-President.

Ellen Grace Mecaydor Carreon, a dentist based in Naval town, said it will be a big help to the people of the province bringing such government services accessible in a 2-day government fair.

“I will really grab one of those services available tomorrow,” she excitedly answered when asked what benefit she will get from the service fair.

Carreon, who is fond of traveling abroad, added that she would like to grab the opportunity of availing the DFA passport processing and transaction for filing of travel clearance abroad from DSWD for her son.

Last minute final preparations are still underway a day before the big event to make it smooth, orderly, and no hassle for the beneficiaries. (MMP/RSV/PIA Biliran)
