ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (PIA) -- Around 300,000 individuals in Sultan Kudarat are expected to benefit from different government programs at the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), slated for Feb. 25 and 26 at the Sultan Kudarat provincial capitol grounds in Isulan town.
BPSF is the country’s biggest service caravan, aimed at providing major government services to marginalized Filipinos.
“I encourage you all to join the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair. This is an opportunity to showcase, promote, and most importantly, provide needed services to Sultan Kudarateños,” said Sultan Kudarat First District Rep. Bai Rihan Sakaluran during the initial coordination meeting recently.
The meeting was attended by regional directors and representatives of national government agencies, government financial institutions, and the academic community.
Sakaluran, who will be hosting the event with Gov. Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu, said the Serbisyo Fair is expected to bring together government agencies in one venue, providing a one-stop-service center that will showcase a wide range of government programs for the people in Sultan Kudarat and even neighboring areas to benefit from.
The BPSF Sultan Kudarat leg will be the first in the Soccsksargen region and the 13th BPSF nationwide, with some 70 members from the House of Representatives expected to grace the event.
Meanwhile, Mangudadatu urged residents to register themselves on the Bagong Pilipinas website, https://www.bagongpilipinastayo.com, and join the two-day event.

Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez is expected to lead the ceremonial turnover of items and program grants from national government agencies to the BPSF beneficiaries on Feb. 25.
The BPSF will showcase government programs including the Kadiwa ng Pangulo, which provides affordable goods from farmers and fishermen to small businesses; civil registration document requests to be processed by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA); and Lab4All, a free laboratory test, consultation, and medicine.
According to BPSF organizers, there will also be designated areas for passport applications to be facilitated by the Department of Foreign Affairs, processing of drivers’ licenses by the Land Transportation Office, issuance of clearances by the Philippine National Police, and benefit claims and membership inquiries by the Social Security System and the Government Service Insurance System, including inquiries for tax, fee, and charge by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
The Serbisyo Fair will also feature booths of various social services that people may avail of from lead agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Health, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, the National Food Authority, the Office of Civil Defense, the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Food and Drug Administration, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Philippine Coconut Authority.

The Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Science and Technology, the Technical Skills and Development Authority, the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Department of Migrant Workers, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the Department of Education, and the Commission on Higher Education will also present their livelihood package and educational services in store for prospective beneficiaries.
Other government services include those from the Public Attorney’s Office, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the Department of Information and Communication Technology, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), including the official organization of all lawyers, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, among others.
On Feb. 25, a Pasasalamat concert will also be held at Sultan Kudarat Capitol grounds with guest artists Angeline Quinto, Flow G, Skusta Clee, Pooh, Gloc 9, and Joseph Marco, among other local talents from the province. (ORVR – PIA Sultan Kudarat)
