CATARMAN, Northern Samar (PIA) — The Northern Samar Public Employment Service Office (NSPESO) and the Municipal PESO reported a significant number of job placements in both government and private institutions in the province for the calendar year 2023.
Maurice De Guia, the NSPESO manager, said in an interview with the Philippine Information Agency that they have been committed to fulfilling their mandate of providing employment facilitation services to their clients.
These services include job search assistance and placement referrals, training opportunities, and other related services.

They also provide the youth with bridging employment assistance, such as a special program for the employment of students, a government internship program, and conducting career guidance and employment coaching.
NSPESO also caters to private recruitment and placement for service contractors, assists local recruiters, and facilitates overseas employment, in addition to the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program.
“Aside from walk-in clients, we open opportunities for employment, job placement, and referrals in our conduct of job fairs, which we have successfully done in five separate activities,” De Guia said.
"Through the referral of MPESO Catarman, I was able to land a job at one of the biggest malls in Catarman. After completing my contract with them, I gained vast experience, which helped me easily transfer to another private company,” Apil D. Custorio shared her positive feedback after availing of the NSPESO services.
