COMPENSATION FOR MARAWI: DHSUD Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario and members of the Executive Committee discuss initial plans and measures on the establishment and operationalization of the Marawi Compensation Board as mandated by the recently enacted Republic Act 11696 or the Marawi Siege Compensation Act of 2022. At the meeting, the housing czar and ExeCom members brainstormed on the proposed steps to carry out the functions required by the implementation of the said law. Last month, President Rodrigo Duterte signed RA 11696 to provide monetary compensation for people who died and lost their properties during the five-month battle between government forces and Daesh-inspired terrorists in 2017.
