Workshop on the Universal Prevention Curriculum for Substance Use: Media-Based Prevention Interventions

The ASEAN Training Center for Preventive Drug Education (ATCPDE) spearheaded a dynamic 2-day workshop on the Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC) for Substance Use: Media-Based Prevention Interventions, held on 24-25 August 2023 in Quezon City.

The training provided an overview and in-depth study of media and their substance use prevention campaigns. It also focused on developing theory-based persuasive anti-drug media campaigns.

The training involved active participation from various key stakeholders such as the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Education (DepEd), and Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Together, we’re shaping the future of preventive drug education and paving the way for more resilient and empowered communities.
