Philippine Red Cross receives Sputnik vaccines from PH gov’t

MANDALUYONG CITY -- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) received 2,700 doses of Sputnik V from the IATF in PRC Port Area, Manila to roll out the vaccination to the A5 community around the Port Area Lab and residents of Baseco, Manila.

“We are very grateful for the donation of IATF. With their contribution, we will be able to reach even more communities without slowing down to aid the most vulnerable,” said PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Richard Gordon.

According to the headof the Molecular Laboratory, Dr. Paulyn Ubial, the PRC targets to vaccinate 400 individuals within two weeks, prioritizing those from the A5 priority group or indigent population.

As of July 2021, the PRC has vaccinated more than 21,000 individuals with Sputnik, Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Sinovac, and Pzfizer brands.

Sputnik vaccination schedule will be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the PRC Port Area in Manila. To register, you may contact 1158 at least two days before your preferred vaccination date. (Philippine Red Cross)
