Pandemic heroes to be featured in CSC photo contest

QUEZON CITY -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is calling for entries to the 2021 Photography Contest, which aims to highlight through images the various ways our country's civil servants or lingkod bayani have risen to the challenges brought about by the pandemic.

The deadline of submission of entries is on 30 July 2021.

The contest, which is part of the 121st Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, is open to all government workers regardless of employment status except employees of the CSC including their relatives up to second degree of affinity or consanguinity.

Regional and national winners will be awarded in the virtual recognition ceremony scheduled on 22 September 2021. Aside from receiving cash prizes, winners will have their work featured on the CSC website, www.csc.gov.ph, and official Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/civilservicegovph.

Photo entries

Contestants are allowed to submit only one (1) entry each.

Each entry should adhere to the contest theme, Pagtugon ng Lingkod Bayani sa Patuloy na Hamon ng Pandemya, which aims to highlight images that show how the country’s civil servants or lingkod bayani faced the challenges of the pandemic.

Photo entries will be assessed on content and adherence to the theme, visual impact, creativity and originality, and photograph quality.

Photo entries must be in digital JPEG or JPG format (horizontal image or vertical image) with at least 300 dpi and maximum file size of 10 MB.

Photographs must be original and must not contain copyrighted materials, and must be colored (black and white or sepia photographs will be automatically disqualified).

Watermarked photographs and those that have been previously submitted or have won in any local or international photography contest will also be disqualified.

Submission guidelines

Each entry must be submitted along with the full name of the contestant, and relevant information about the photo, including the title, caption, location and date, and camera or device used.

Contestants should submit their entries via email to the CSC Regional Office (ROs) to which they belong. For example, if the contestant is residing in Quezon Province, he or she should submit the entry to CSC Regional Office IV.
