POLOMOLOK, South Cotabato -- Construction is set to begin for the Glamang Fire Substation after the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the construction site inside the compound of the Glamang Barangay Hall in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
“The establishment of substation here [Glamang] is very strategic,” said SInsp. Richard G. Visitacion, Polomolok Fire Station (PFS) Fire Marshal. “It will certainly, reduce the response time during conflagration and other emergencies.”
"We are very thankful that our Barangay [Glamang], the barangay chairman [Marivic P. Tubo] and PRIMEWORLD Land Holding, Inc. are very supportive in our mandate to serve the people,” SInsp. Visitacon added.
He was also quick to acknowledge the efforts of his predecessors who took the initial steps for the realization of the project.
The creation of the Glamang Fire Substation is a collaboration among Barangay Local Government Unit of Glamang, Primeworld Land Holding, Inc. (PLHI), and the Bureau of Fire Protection-Polomolok Fire Station (BFP-PFS).
PLHI, a premier national developer that offers affordable quality homes across the nation, has shouldered the construction cost of the project. Meanwhile, BGLU of Glamang donated a parcel of land where the substation is to be erected.
PLHI Sales and Marketing Manager Helen Z. Zafra was elated by the opportunity for them to be part of the project.
“We are very honored to be part of this event, thank you for letting us be a part to support your program,” Zafra said.
The Glamang Fire Substation will be able to serve a vast majority of the community, allowing immediate and quick response time during fire incidents and other emergencies benefiting not only Barangay Glamang but also the adjacent barangays of Silway-7, Klinan-6, and Silway-8.
The construction of the fire substation is estimated to be complete in six months.
For her part, Glamang’s Barangay Captain Marivic P. Tubo said that she was so happy to have a good partner in Primeworld because of their social involvement and support to our barangay.
“PRIMEWORLD is the best partner,” she added. (Philip C Chan/PFS-PIS)
