Northern Samar Provincial Government and the NS Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF ELCAC) on the burning of heavy equipment in Las Navas

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar (PGNS) condemns the act of atrocity committed by the New People’s Army in Bgy. San Francisco, Las Navas early morning today, July 29, 2021, by burning to destruction 9 units of heavy equipment being used for road construction in the area.

This senseless act is a manifestation of the group’s unreasonable objection to the government’s move to improve the life of our communities at the countryside by providing greater access to government services and easier transportation of goods from and towards the market.  

We strongly denounce this atrocity which do not only result to waste of government resources, but unjustly sow fear among fellow Nortehanons who only wanted to live in peace, with their families and loved ones.

This must not happen again. Let us all help build a peaceful and progressive province!
