PALO, Leyte -- The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office VIII was recently recognized by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as one of its 2021 Outstanding Partners during the BSP Virtual Appreciation Ceremony on 30 July 2021.

NEDA VIII was chosen as BSP’s outstanding partner for consistently providing the BSP with accurate and timely information on regional development that helps the bank in setting its projections and crafting its policies.

In his acceptance message, NEDA VIII Regional Director Atty. Bonifacio G. Uy hailed the award as a testament to the enduring and flourishing partnership of NEDA VIII and the BSP, particularly the BSP – Tacloban Branch.

The award is just the latest for NEDA VIII as the agency was previously recognized in the same category in 2012, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The last three consecutive awards earned NEDA VIII the Gold Hall of Fame.

Conducted annually, the awards ceremony is held to recognize the sustained and outstanding contributions of BSP’s stakeholders in support of its statistical undertakings, information needs, advocacy programs, and functions.
