Red Cross receives 30,530 additional doses of Pfizer and Sinovac from national gov't

MANDALUYONG CITY -- As the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continues to play a major role in the National COVID-19 Vaccination Initiative, the humanitarian organization has received yesterday, 16 August 2021, new supply of Pfizer vaccines and Sinovac vaccines from the National Government.

"Mabisa ang lahat ng bakuna at nakakaligtas ito ng buhay. Hinihikayat ko ang lahat ng Pilipino na magpabakuna na ngayon, ito ang ating solution sa COVID-19," reiterates PRC Chairman aned CEO Sen. Richard Gordon.

"We have received today 10,530 doses (1,755 vials) of Pfizer vaccines and 20,000 doses of Sinovac. Right now, our Pfizer vaccines are in our ultra-low freezer located at the PRC PLMC Bakuna Center, while we have divided our Sinovac vaccines into two locations - the PRC Blood Bank Tower and PRC PLMC Bakuna Center refrigerator," said PRC Health Services Manager Mark Abrigo.

PRC Health Services will be sending the new vaccine supply to PRC Bakuna Centers and Bakuna Bus deployments.

Additionally, this week, the PRC Health Services is training more PRC chapter staff and volunteers to be deployed in the PRC Bakuna Buses and Bakuna Centers as the humanitarian organization plans to further its COVID-19 vaccination locations nationwide.
