NTF, DOH spearhead second phase of pediatric vaccination at Ospital ng Muntinlupa

MANILA -- The National Task Force Against COVID-19 and Department of Health officials led the launching of the piloted vaccination program for minors with comorbidities against COVID-19 on Monday, October 25, at the Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

The Ospital ng Muntinlupa is among the health facilities that were identified by local government units in Metro Manila to be included in the second phase of the pediatric vaccination rollout which began last October 22.

About 60 patients aged 15 to 17 will get the COVID-19 jab during the ceremonial vaccination today, as the facility targets to vaccinate at least 100 patients daily.

Other hospitals included in the second phase of the pediatric vaccination are: Caloocan City Medical Center (North and South), Ospital ng Malabon, Navotas City Hospital, Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital, Marikina Sports Complex (near Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center), Quezon City General Hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center Quezon City, Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Makati, SM Megamall Mega Vaccination Site (near Mandaluyong City Medical Center), Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Ospital ng Parañaque 1, University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, and Pasay City General Hospital. St. Luke’s Medical Center - Global City will also cater to individuals coming from the Municipality of Pateros.

The national government initially rolled out its pilot vaccination for minors with comorbidities in eight Metro Manila hospitals in Metro Manila but has expanded the inoculation program to 23 health facilities in the NCR. (National Task Force Against COVID-19)
