QUEZON CITY -- One hundred twenty-six (126) personnel from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the Bicol region will be facing a new chapter in their life as DAR Acting Secretary Bernie Cruz signed their appointments for promotion.
DAR Bicol Regional Director Rodrigo Realubit said DAR Bicol has filled up 117 entry-level positions and nine (9) promotional posts this year in the region.
Realubit disclosed that in 2019, the agency also hired 130 agrarian reform program technologists who were deployed to various Municipal Agrarian Reform Offices around the Bicol region.
He said the DAR needs these additional workforces, especially technical personnel, to work in land acquisition and documentation of agricultural lands covered by the government under its agrarian reform program.
“We continue to prepare the agency for the imminent more sensitive implementation of the government's agrarian reform program,” he added.
Realubit said the personnel whose appointments were signed were very fortunate to be part of the DAR after passing through the qualification standards set by the governing law. (DAR)
