PRC vaccinates more than 500K against covid-19

MANDALUYONG CITY -- Less than a week after reaching 400,000 administered doses, the Philippine Red Cross(PRC), as the premier humanitarian organization in the country, has reached another breakthrough vaccinating more than 500,000 individuals against COVID-19 as of November 18, 2021. Out of the 532,604 individuals vaccinated, over 246,248 are now fully vaccinated by their 25 Bakuna Centers, 17 Bakuna Buses, and deployment of 20 vaccination teams to LGU run Bakuna Centers nationwide.

"Philippine Red Cross has been always first, always ready, and always there. We will continue to be the government’s ally when it comes to vaccination since the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has the manpower, the resources, and the commitment to help protect against this invisible enemy that is the COVID19 virus,” said Chairman and CEO Sen. Richard Gordon.

At the same time, Gordon stresses the need for vaccination and the urgency for individuals to get vaccinated, "As the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones are by getting vaccinated, our goal is to vaccinate as many as we can. We want to protect every Filipino to help curb the pandemic."

Apart from reaching more than half a million administered doses since the vaccination program began last March 23, 2021, the humanitarian organization has launched its pediatric vaccination for minors aged 12-17 years old two weeks ago and has now jabbed 1,894 individuals with the Emergency Use Authorization vaccines for minors; Pfizer and Moderna.

Also, the PRC EDSA Boni Bakuna Center beginning this week is now accepting walk-in vaccinations ready to jab individuals with government-procured Sinovac and Astrazeneca vaccines.
