PASAY CITY -- After conducting an activity for indigent residents in Calumpit on November 11, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go’s outreach team continued to provide aid support to vulnerable residents, this time for those in San Miguel and Norzagaray, Bulacan from November 15 to 17.
In a video message, Go reminded the public to follow the required health protocols, especially if they have an increased risk of severe illness, and urged authorities to diligently administer the vaccines to ensure that no one is left behind on the path to recovery.
His team provided meals, vitamins and masks to a total 3,020 beneficiaries, composed of senior citizens and newly resettled families. The activities were held in batches at the San Miguel High School gymnasium and the relocation site in Barangay Bitunggol, Norzagaray in compliance with health and safety protocols.
They also gave selected beneficiaries new pairs of shoes and bicycles which can be used for work purposes and computer tablets for their children’s blended learning activities.
To help alleviate the financial impacts of the pandemic, staff from the Department of Social Welfare and Development handed out financial assistance under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program.
