QUEZON CITY -- A total of twenty-five (25) common service facilities (CSF) worth Php470,648.00 was provided by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to eleven (11) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Ilocos Norte which arises from the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the DAR and the 11 ARBOs.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Vic M. Ines said the 25 CSFs include the eighteen (18) units brush cutter with harvester, five (5) units water pump with one (1) roll of 1.5 inches hose each, 1 unit water pump with fire hose of 100m length and 2 inches diameter and 1 unit weighing scale.

“The provision of support services are coursed through the ARBOs, or the groups of farmers created and supported by the DAR. They are groups united in achieving their goals to enrich their farms and livelihood and are aware of their priorities, concerns, and needs,” Ines said.

Ines encouraged farmers to make their lands productive and to continue supporting their organization since all support services coming from the DAR will be coursed through the ARBOs.

The farmer-members expressed their gratitude to the DAR for providing them with various facilities for their farms.

The facilities were provided under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPS) of the DAR and are geared towards building the resiliency of agrarian reform communities nationwide to enhance and sustain the agricultural productivity of farmers’ organizations. This is done by providing farm machinery and livelihood activities to uplift the lives of its members.

The 11 ARBOS who were provided with the CSF include:

1.     Malampa Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Bacarra

2.     Zanjera Sinigpit Vintar Irrigators Association, Inc. in San Ramon 

3.     Vintar, Zanjera De Nal-Pan-Sur Pump Irrigators Association, Inc in Paoay,

4.     Capurictan Agrarian Reform Cooperative in  Solsona

5.     Sagumbi Balay Cali Irrigators Association, Inc. in San Francisco,

6.     Dingras,  Sasabtan River Farmers Associations, Inc. in Dingras

7.     Cabaruan Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Dingras,

8.     Zanjera San Marco Swisa  in San Nicolas,

9.     Alay Balbaldez Irrigators Association, Inc. in Badoc

10. CM Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Vintar; and

11. Agunit Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Marcos (DAR)
