BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Caraga for a livelihood convergence project.
Through the DSWD-SLP, 412 profiled beneficiaries of the DTI-Pangkabuhayan para sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Project will be provided with the Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG).
LAG is a recovery program implemented by the DSWD which offers financial assistance to low-income families whose livelihoods were affected by the imposition of the community quarantine. The grant serves as the program participants' seed capital fund to finance their small businesses.
Set to transpire from December 2021 until December 2023, this convergence initiative project shall cover a total of 14 cities and municipalities in the region.
