DOST Batangas conquered the challenge of internet connectivity and facilitated the application of
the 2022 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarships in the island Municipality of Tingloy, Batangas,
Nov. 24.
DOST Batangas in partnership with the Local Government of Tingloy, Batangas and Tingloy Senior
High School, assisted the eligible applicants of the municipality in submitting and completing their
scholarship applications at the DOST-SEI online application system. Scanning and consolidation of
required documents and free ID picture taking were also part of DOST’s assistance.
Ms. Juvie Ann Gabrieles, Officer-in-Charge for Tingloy Senior High School, expressed her gratitude
to DOST for assisting their students. She also mentioned how effective the activity was in
encouraging their students with promising potentials to apply for DOST-SEI Scholarships and
embark on STEM careers.
For the past years, DOST Batangas has been persistent in encouraging students from the
Municipality of Tingloy to send their applications for DOST-SEI Scholarship programs and get the
chance to enjoy its benefits. However, a very few applications are received every year --- the reason
why DOST Batangas initiated to assist the eligible applicants of the municipality.
This activity also serves as one of DOST Batangas’ support interventions to the Municipality of
Tingloy for being identified as one of DOST CALABARZON’s Community Empowerment thru
Science & Technology (CEST) sites.
Applications for the 2022 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarships is still on-going and extended until December 31, 2021. Interested students may now submit the required documents thru this link: https://usas.science-scholarships.ph. (John Maico Hernandez/DOST4A)
