NAVAL, Biliran -- Two newly improved facilities at the Provincial Capitol Compound were turned-over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) to the Provincial Government of Biliran on December 9.
Projects turned-over are the Repair and Improvement of Provincial Capitol Building and the Improvement of Multipurpose Building, Civic Center located at Brgy. Calumpang in Naval town.
Governor Rogelio J. Espina, District Engineer Ferdinand A. Briones, and Assistant District Engineer Alferdo L. Bollido led the turnover ceremony together with Engr. Luisito Filemon A. Abad, Biliran DEO chief of Construction Section; Engr. Nilo Peñaflor, provincial assessor; Engr. Danilo Bonifacio, provincial planning and development officer; Dionisio Oliva, provincial tourism officer; and representatives from the contractor.
The Repair and Improvement of Provincial Capitol Building worth P9.69-M involves the repair of social hall, repair of admin office, repair of CCTV room, viewing deck, roofing of PIO 8 legal office, entrance canopy ceiling, accounting office ceiling, painting on repaired ceiling, door and windows.
Meanwhile, the Improvement of Multipurpose Building, Civic Center worth P9.7-M involves the construction of stage, BAC office extension (2nd floor-center), PAG-IBIG office, construction of dressing rooms, sound system room, installation of air conditioning (package split type), stairs and PWD ramps, lighting fixtures and lamps, doors and windows, painting and tiles.
The completed projects will not only bring comfort to the personnel who will utilize the building but will also provide the community a conducive place to hold different activities. (DPWH-BDEO)
