Red Cross furthers its response; distributing water for 130 families in Negros Oriental

MANDALUYONG CITY -- Despite the holiday season, the Philippine Red Cross(PRC), through the leadership of Chairman and CEO Senator Richard "Dick" Gordon, continues to further its Super Typhoon Odette Operations as they target to distribute water to 130 families in Suba, Bolisong, Bala-as Municipality of Manjuyod in Negros Oriental on December 25, 2021.

"Kusang loob, malasakit, at kapwa tao, ito ang mga katangian ng mga Red Cross volunteers at staff na laging handang tumulong ang mga tao," reiterates Chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon.

Yesterday, PRC volunteers and staff went to the municipality of Bindoy to distribute 10,824L water to 270 families in Barangays Ilaya, provide 248 food packs, set up four welfare desks and three first-aid stations, and distribute 200 facemasks.

As of December 25, 2021, the PRC has distributed over 253,624 liters of water to those affected by the recent Super Typhoon. (Philippine Red Cross)
