NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila -- BRP Ang Pangulo (ACS25), which has been repurposed as a floating hospital, is now serving the people of Siargao affected by Typhoon Odette.

The Navy and Eastern Mindanao Command composite medical team onboard is attending to the residents and fishermen from various barangays in the area who are in need of medical assistance.

To date, ACS25 has provided much-needed, free medical consultations, medicines and supplements to 36 individuals wherein two were initially admitted but eventually discharged upon medication for hypertension and diarrhea.

The timely deployment of the PN floating hospital demonstrates the whole of government approach in assisting disaster-stricken Filipinos who are still reeling from the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette. (PN)
