For the past year, we have continued our response to the COVID-19 pandemic as one nation. Not only did we face together the highs and lows of our fight against the global health crisis, but our nation’s grit, resilience, and bravery has recently been put to the test by the calamity and disaster, caused by Typhoon Odette.
As we reflect on the past 12 months, let us continue learning from all that we have endured in order to be better, be more inclusive and responsive, and be there for our fellow Filipinos in times of crises, despite all the difficult circumstances we have been experiencing.
In 2022, we will continue to face the challenges the new normal entails. Despite the fact that our fight as a nation against the contagion is far from over, let us remain collectively firm and unyielding in facing any uncertainty that the coming year may hold.
It is only when we collectively address these challenges that we are able to see the difference we can make together and how we can contribute to the recovery and growth of our country.
May this be our realization as we end 2021 and welcome a new year with high hopes for our future and that of our great nation.
As the Duterte administration nears its end, may we continue to remain committed to helping each and every Filipino. Let us do our part in the nation's recovery by complying with all health protocols and minimum health standards prescribed by the government, especially as we celebrate the New Year, for us to heal, recover, and rise as a nation even beyond this administration.
We wish everyone a happy, safe, prosperous, and healthy New Year!
