QUEZON CITY -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the province of Nueva Vizcaya distributed a total of 45.275 hectares of agricultural lands to thirty-six agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Dupax del Norte through a personalized Serbisyong DAR-to-Door program of the DAR.
Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Engr. Rustico Turingan said the Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) were given to 36 villagers who are members of the agrarian reform beneficiaries organization (ARBOs).
“It was a good start and blessing for the new year among ARBs because of the distribution of CLOAs,” Turingan said.
He said that this was also in compliance with the present administration’s mandate to bring the government services closer to its people.
The CLOAs were awarded through the agency’s “Serbisyong DAR-to-DOOR”, a program of the department where officials and employees of the DAR personally deliver the CLOAs right at the farm or at the doorsteps of the recipients.
Turingan also reminded the ARBs of their role, rights, and responsibilities as CLOA holders and ARBs.
“These titles should serve as hope and inspiration for you to cultivate and enrich the lands awarded to you. We encourage you to join ARBOs in your area so that you can receive other support services from DAR,” Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer John Daryl Yacapin said.
The ARBs are very grateful to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Secretary Bernie Cruz, Regional Director Samuel Solomero, PARPO Turingan, and other officials who helped and took part in this program and promised to make their awarded lands productive.
The program aims to intensify the delivery of CLOAs to boost the ARB’s confidence knowing that they now legally own the land they till. (DAR)
