DPWH Biliran employees receive another set of vitamins

NAVAL, Biliran -- The employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) receive another set of Vitamin C from the office to help boost their immune system against the threat of Covid-19 and other viruses.

A total of 250 employees were given free vitamins including job order personnel of this office.

According to Ms. Carl L. Hona, acting supply officer, a P397,500 budget was allotted for the said vitamins coming from Engineering Administrative Overhead (EAO) fund.

Although basic safety and health practices are observed at DPWH Biliran DEO workplace, the Coronavirus may be anywhere which poses risk to the health and well-being of the employees especially to those who are doing field works. With everyone seems to be affected by this so-called seasonal flu and paracetamol is low in stock, these free vitamins will be a good help in preventing diseases.

DPWH Biliran DEO has been committed in giving free vitamins to the employees since the start of this pandemic.

Quarterly, Biliran DEO employees receive these vitamins thru the effort of District Engineer (DE) Ferdinand A. Briones.

Briones believed that the vitamins will be a way to prevent COVID-19 especially now that there are different variants of the virus that emerged. The district office continues to maintain the basic health protocols and giving free vitamins for all of its employees as well. (DPWH-BDEO)
