MANDALUYONG CITY -- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) led by Chairman Senator Dick Gordon announces the launch of their partnership with eCommerce platform Lazada in supporting its Bakuna Bus program.
“With the current Omicron surge, there is an immediate need to ramp up vaccination rates,” said Senator Gordon.
The partnership with the eCommerce platform aims to raise awareness and provide access to vaccines for Lazada’s partner communities and those far-flung areas with limited access to these resources. Lazada and PRC’s partnership aim to deploy Bakuna Bus vaccinations from now till August 2022.
According to Senator Gordon, "Lazada’s contribution in our vaccination efforts will help more communities in the fight against COVID-19. The Philippine Red Cross is very grateful to Lazada in helping us reach the most vulnerable."
The partnership’s first deployment will be to Brgy. Gulod, Nova, Quezon City where booster shots will be administered starting January 26, 2022.
PRC will also administer primary doses and booster shots to Lazada logistics staff at their warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna.
As of January 24, 2022, the PRC administered 884,279 doses while fully vaccinating 328,605 individuals through their 26 Bakuna Centers, 17 Bakuna Buses, and Bakuna Teams nationwide.
