PRC is nearing 1M doses administered

MANDALUYONG CITY -- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) continues to intensify its fight against COVID-19 through the deployment of the PRC Bakuna Buses and Bakuna Centers nationwide. The PRC is close to hitting its one million doses of vaccines administered since it officially started its vaccination program last March 2021.

PRC has already administered 990,491 doses with 341,684 fully vaccinated individuals and 45,890 booster shots. Last February 10, 2022, PRC vaccinated 2,377 individuals through its 26 Bakuna Centers and 17 Bakuna Buses deployed all over the country.

“Tuloy tuloy ang ating pagbabakuna sa mga lugar na kung saan marami pa ang hindi nababakunahan. Sa tulong ng ating mga partners at local government units ay makakatulong upang maiabot at mabigyan ng access ang mga gustong magpabakuna. Ang ating goal ay mabakunahan ang mga hindi pa bakunado kaya inilalapit na natin sa kanila ang aming mga bakuna buses,” PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Dick Gordon said.

Even as PRC expects to hit the one million doses ni administered mark for its vaccination program, PRC will continue to deploy its Bakuna Buses and Bakuna Centers to support the local government unit in the vaccination program.

Chairman Gordon positioned PRC as the foremost humanitarian organization responding to disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. PRC will continue to intensify and strengthen its COVID-19 response, utilizing measures such as testing, isolation facilities, and emergency field hospitals. (Philippine Red Cross)
