Researchers provided with free session on Intellectual Property by DOST

QUEZON CITY -- Some ninety (90) research enthusiasts have recently participated in the online session on Intellectual Property (IP) conducted by the Zamboanga Consortium for Health Research and Development (ZCHRD) and the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The webinar focused on the concepts of IPs and related aspects such as patents, utility models, copyrights, trademarks, and similar concerns.

While being held primarily for ZCHRD member researchers and technology generators, the session was also broadcasted live over Facebook to generate greater awareness and participation by the general public to appreciate the importance of IP.

Atty. Maria Gladys C. Vilchez, IP lawyer and former IP consultant of the DOST – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) served as the resource person.

For more information on ZCHRD trainings, please call (062) 991-1024 or text 0927 176 3821 and look for Marielle Atilano, or email us at zchrd@ro9.dost.gov.ph or visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/DOSTRegion9 (MRAtilano, DOST IX)
